Shuswap Tourism seeks advisory committee members

Expressions of interest are currently being sought for the Shuswap Tourism Advisory Committee. This committee includes 10 members representing the tourism industry in the Shuswap region. 

“We need to hear directly from those people working in the tourism sector, to ensure we can meet their needs and work to overcome challenges facing tourism operators,” says Morgen Matheson, Manager, Tourism and Film. “We are looking for industry members who can share their expertise as we plan for the future.”

The role of the Committee is to provide input and recommendations on tourism initiatives that include: 

•    Participating in strategy sessions to update and maintain the five-year strategic plan. 

•    Providing recommendations of ideas to the annual work plan. 

•    Putting forward committee recommendations to the CSRD Board on various topics relating to tourism.

•    Attending quarterly meetings.

Potential members will need to fill out an online Expression of Interest form available on the Shuswap Tourism page of the CSRD website.
