The Shuswap Community Foundation has set up an account for donations for Wildfire Relief. You can e-transfer or donate locally at SASCU branches.
Recipient: info@shuswapfoundation.ca with memo/message “SCF Emergency Response Fund for the North Shuswap”.
Please put the message “SCF Emergency Response Fund for the North Shuswap” in the message box of your e-transfer to make sure it goes to the North Shuswap area.
Receipts for taxation purposes can be provided by taking your deposit receipt to Shuswap Community Foundation or emailing them a copy at info@shuswapfoundation.ca.
There are GoFundMe pages out there for this but I can’t guarantee who owns them or where the money will ultimately go. This is the best option. Thanks.
Supporting Shuswap Communities: Launch of SCF Emergency Response Fund for Bush Creek East Wildfire Relief
[Salmon Arm, August 23, 2023] – Shuswap Community Foundation (SCF) announced the launch of the SCF Emergency Response Fund on August 19th, a dedicated fundraising campaign to support the communities affected by the Bush Creek East wildfire in North Shuswap. This initiative seeks to provide vital assistance during times of crisis, helping the region’s residents rebuild and recover in the face of this disaster. As of August 22, SCF has partnered with SASCU to introduce the SASCU $25,000 matching fund. Through this generous program, donations to the SCF Emergency Response Fund will effectively double the impact of your contribution.
If you’d like take advantage of this fantastic program, make your donation to the SCF “Emergency Response Fund” account at any Salmon Arm Savings and Credit Union (SASCU) branch.
