With winter storms or weather changes, often concerns with winter driving conditions start to crop up and the CSRD office begins to receive calls asking for service. This is a reminder to citizens that the CSRD does not have jurisdiction over roads within its boundaries. This includes any road issues such as: snowplowing, potholes, snowbanks, icy conditions or any other winter road-related concern.

If you have a concern or comment, please contact the relevant municipality or Provincial service contractor. We’ve compiled some links and contacts to make sure your information gets to the right people.

Within the Columbia Shuswap Regional District’s (CSRD) Electoral Areas, all of the roads are the responsibility of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure

The Provincial contractors within the CSRD boundaries are:

Service Area 13 – Okanagan-Shuswap –  This includes CSRD Electoral Areas C, D, the majority of Electoral Area E, and F. The cut-off point between Service Areas 12 and 13 is east of Craigellachie and west of Three Valley Gap.
